More information about our Single Compost Toilet
Our Single Toilet is our most popular model, combining simplicity, reliability and sustainability.
It features a built-in urine separator, while solid waste is collected in a standard wheelie bin. After each use, simply add a cup of carbon-rich soak material such as sawdust, leaf litter or compost. We also offer our own carbon soak, producing nutrient-rich biochar that enhances the composting process.
We recommend rotating between two wheelie bins. When one is around three-quarters full, swap it for the second. While the second bin is in use, the contents of the first continue composting, reducing in volume before being transferred to your compost heap to finish breaking down naturally.
For even faster composting, add a handful of red wriggler earthworms to each bin. They accelerate decomposition and produce rich, healthy compost.
Urine is kept completely separate and drains through an outlet pipe. It can be directed to a soak pit, buried drainage area, or used to irrigate suitable trees and shrubs.

An essential component of any composting toilet system, effective urine separation keeps odours away and maintenance simple. Our locally designed and manufactured urine separator diverts liquid from solids for cleaner, more efficient composting. Made from strong, easy-to-clean plastic, it installs easily under the toilet seat and can be removed for periodic cleaning. Suitable for both male and female users.
